Privacy Policy for CSStatLab

Last updated: 21.07.2026

1. Introduction

CSStatLab ("we", "us", or "our") provides Counter-Strike 2 statistics, profile pages, match history views, academy content, and derived performance insights based on publicly available or licensed third-party data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, where it comes from, how we use it, and what third-party services are involved when you use csstatlab.com.

2. Data We Process

2.1 Public Player Data

We retrieve and display player-related data from third-party services such as Steam, Leetify, and FACEIT. Depending on what those services make available, this may include:

  • Steam profile information such as display name, avatar, SteamID, and public profile URL
  • Leetify gameplay statistics, ranks, bans, and match history
  • FACEIT player profile data and Elo-related information
  • Match history and performance metrics
  • Derived metrics and visualizations such as role labels, trend views, and statistical DNA-style summaries

We do not ask users to create an account on CSStatLab, and we do not intentionally collect passwords, private Steam data, private match history, or private messages.

2.2 Search Inputs

When you search for a player, we process the identifier you submit, such as a Steam profile URL, vanity name, or SteamID64, in order to resolve and load the requested profile.

2.3 Analytics and Performance Data

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and site performance. These are cookieless: they set no cookies and store no persistent identifiers or personal data, so they run on every visit without requiring consent. If you additionally accept analytics, we may load analytics tags configured through Google Tag Manager. These services may process technical and usage information such as:

  • Pages visited
  • Referrer information
  • Browser and device characteristics
  • Performance and latency metrics
  • General interaction and diagnostic information

2.4 Advertising and Affiliate Activity

When advertising is enabled on CSStatLab, Google AdSense serves ads to all visitors. Your advertising consent is collected by Google’s own certified consent management platform: if you consent, Google may process data through cookies or similar technologies for personalized ad delivery, fraud prevention and measurement; if you do not consent, Google serves only non-personalized ads and does not use advertising cookies for personalization. Amazon affiliate services may process data after you actively follow a link to an Amazon storefront.

3. How We Use the Data

We use data to:

  • Display player profiles, match history, rankings, and statistics
  • Generate derived insights, charts, and role or trend visualizations
  • Resolve submitted Steam profile identifiers
  • Improve site reliability, performance, and product quality
  • Reduce external API load through limited caching and temporary storage where applicable
  • Support advertising where the relevant consent has been provided
  • Redirect affiliate links to a relevant storefront after you click

We do not sell personal data to data brokers. We do not provide a private user account system on CSStatLab.

4. Third-Party Services

CSStatLab relies on third-party services, including:

  • Steam Web API
  • Leetify Public API
  • FACEIT API
  • Vercel Analytics
  • Vercel Speed Insights
  • Google AdSense

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. CSStatLab is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, Leetify, FACEIT, Vercel, or Google unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Optional analytics (Google Tag Manager) is not loaded before you accept analytics. Google AdSense loads for all visitors so that Google’s certified consent platform can collect advertising consent; personalized advertising features stay disabled until you consent through that prompt.

5. Data Retention

Player and match statistics shown on profile pages are fetched live from third-party APIs (Steam, Leetify, FACEIT) each time a page is requested. We do not store player or match data from these providers on our servers.

To reduce redundant API requests, we keep a small lookup cache that records only a Steam ID and a timestamp indicating whether a player has a connected Leetify account. It contains no profile, match, or performance data, and entries expire automatically.

The consent record stored in your browser contains your category choices, a consent version, and a timestamp. It expires after 180 days unless you change it sooner.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Necessary browser storage is used to remember your privacy choice and feedback you explicitly submit on Academy articles. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are disabled by default and are only activated after an active choice. You can accept, reject, customize, or later withdraw your consent.

Our Cookie Policy lists the categories, providers, purposes and storage durations.

7. Children's Privacy

CSStatLab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a user account system.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
