Cache is back in the spotlight in 2026, which means a lot of players are relearning one of Counter-Strike's cleanest maps. Good callouts matter immediately on Cache because the map rewards fast trades, sharp Mid information, and quick site rotations.

This is the practical callout list, not the giant trivia version.

For the broader map plan, pair this page with the main Cache Guide and CS2 Callouts.

A Site

  • A Main - the main T entrance into A
  • Squeaky - the door from A Main into site
  • Forklift - the common cover position near A site
  • Quad - the box area toward site
  • Default - the standard plant area on A
  • Truck - the truck-side position and lane
  • Highway - the CT rotation lane from Mid into A

These are the calls that shape most Cache A fights.

Mid

  • Mid - the open center lane
  • White Box - the common Mid cover
  • Boost - the elevated Mid angle
  • Z / Connector - the path from Mid toward A/CT side
  • Vent Room - the room accessed from Mid
  • Highway - often called again from the Mid side because it affects rotations

Cache Mid matters because it connects everything. If you lose Mid without a call, your whole defense gets weaker.

B Site

  • B Main - the main T entrance toward B
  • Checkers - the room and close corners beside site
  • Headshot - the classic elevated head-level angle
  • Default - the standard B plant area
  • Heaven - the raised CT position above B
  • CT - the defender lane into site
  • Sun Room - the back area near CT side on B

If you know only a few B calls, make sure these are the ones.

How to Call Cache Properly

The best Cache calls are short because the map is fast.

Use:

  • Location
  • Count
  • Direction or action

Examples:

  • "Two A Main, bomb"
  • "One Boost, falling back"
  • "B Main contact"
  • "One Highway, one Z"

That is far better than vague panic calls.

The Most Valuable Call on Cache

The most valuable call on Cache is usually the first clean Mid update.

Why?

  • Mid pressure changes both site rotations
  • Highway and Z affect A directly
  • Vent and Connector pressure can split the map in half

This is one reason Cache rewards effective communication and map control so heavily.

How to Learn Cache Callouts Faster

The easiest way to learn them is to connect each callout to your real deaths and entries.

Examples:

  • "I died Headshot again"
  • "They keep swinging Highway"
  • "We lost Mid through Boost"

That method works for every map, and especially well if you already use How to Review Your Deaths.

What to Learn Next

Once the callouts feel natural, the next step is utility and structure:

The callout layer makes the utility layer much easier.

Takeaway

The Cache callouts you need most are A Main, Squeaky, Forklift, Quad, Mid, White Box, Boost, Z, B Main, Checkers, Headshot, and Heaven. Learn those first, make your Mid calls fast, and your trades and rotations on Cache will improve immediately.
